Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

'Shindig'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Nilly has posted her review/recap of the Serenity film in the Firefly thread.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I love Jess' choice of dress, and Calli's as well. I like the bias-cut and simple, elegant lines of the 30s styles.

The 50s styles always looked dreadful on me. I feel like a wee little Christmas tree with that much fabric in a skirt, triangled out that way.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

We got a new dog Tuesday night. Sweet thing.

We tried to introduce cat to dog tonight.

Somehow I ended up in the middle. The cat bit the meat of my thumb, scratched the hell out of one ear and bit the top of my head.

Calling the doc tomorrow for a tetnus (sp?) shot.

Joy.

eta - can't spell, too ouchie.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Maidengurl}}} Sorry for the ouchies. Congratulations on the new dog. What kind of dog is it? Did you name it yet?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And when can I come play with it?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I'm heading out of town for a few days.

iPod is charged and have charger. Phone is charged, with spare battery and have charger. One book is chosen, cannot find adapter to charge it though. Second book option is being mulled. I likely packed clothes too. Time to brush my teeth and charge myself sleep.

Will skip and skim merrily when I return.

Yikes on the ouchies, Mg. New puppy!!!!!!!

Silence means security silence means approval

Do you know what a nursemaid's elbow is? I didn't until tonight.

I gave one to Annabel. BAD FATHER NO COOKIE.

move out and draw fire

Have fun, Cass! Of course, you are making me wish I could just download music and books (and the internets) into my head and skip the pesky intermediary hardware.

Plus then I could be up in the one sunny room, instead of in the mancave. Huh. Guess I should find the laptop and install the wireless network.

Susan, I know exactly the feeling. For us it's the Hickory Farms catalog for R's grandfather (he liked to get sets that were heavy on the beef, and he'd eat some and give his dogs most of it). And then it's seeing things that I want to get for my dad, or tell him about.

This is especially rough here, as he taught Art History for 20+ years, and I grew up watching slides of ancient Greek sculptures that I've now seen in person and he never will.

I wish I could tell you that will stop, but I don't know that it does. The pain gets less sharp, though.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Jessica causes the baby Men Without Hats to cry....

Fortunately, they may be comforted with dwarves to stand in front of.

Mostly lurking...

Owwwie, Mg! Hope things improve with the dog and cat.

It's my day off...only, it's not. I agreed to start coming into work on Thursdays for a few hours. I'm hoping this isn't a mistake. I told them I'd have to consider it on a weekly basis, so I think it will be ok, 'cause I can veto it if necessary. But, it means I'm not going to have as much time to do the things I plan to do on my Thursdays. Oh, well.

I am excited, though, because I get to make my menu/grocery list and go shopping today for my Saturday Afternoon Tea with the girls. Should be much fun ('cept for the cleaning part).
