Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I'm of mixed mind on it. One part of me wants to say "oh well" the other part of me feels a bit militant, wanting the right for my own health issue.

I'm with the people who say you should drop it in HRs lap. I don't know if diabetes falls under the ADA, but they should be able to make reasonable accomodations for your needs. If that means a separate place to do your sticking and a means to dispose safely of the stick needle, it should be provided. I know at least one of the women's restrooms at my company has that on the wall next to the sinks. I'm not sure if all the bathrooms have been similarly equipped, but at least the ability to do it in a clean, (semi)private environment has been arranged.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

I think it does, as far as reasonable accomodations are concerned.

Hi there. waves at peeps

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Thank you, Beverly. I am fortunate in that I can have extended napping before actually going in to work this afternoon.

Waving at juliana. Hi, gorgeous!

Deena, anything I can do to streamline the function of a room is a plus. Unfortunately I don't have as many rooms as I do usages, so mine still tend to be a welter of unrelated objects, tools, and supplies. I've given up my dreams of House Beautiful in deference to not falling over boxes of forgotten crap negotiating paths through the rooms.

I think this is why DH resists streamlining and decluttering---he still expects to "someday" own a house with a three-car garage, built-in workshop and outbuildings for tinkering on lawn tractors and motorcycles. The life he lives in his head doesn't fit in our tiny house.

move out and draw fire

Thanks, Beverly.

It was gorgeous here today too, like January in Los Angeles. I had no outside errands, other than watering plants, but I needed orange zest for a recipe so I went for a walk to find a ripe orange on one of the trees that line our streets.

We seem to always wind up with at least one room, sometimes two, that should be labelled "Everything Else." There's the living room (used by us as a parlor; i.e., for guests only), the kitchen, the dining room, the bedroom(s) and bathroom(s), and then the TV-computer-game-darts-crafts room. Guess where we spend our time?

For those of you playing along at home, I can't recommend combining peanut butter and green olive tapenade.

I've gotten better, but I fear I also have a 2,400-square-foot house with a garage and a workshop in my head. The one I'm sitting in is a furniture-packed 1,300-square-foot house with carport.

It's beautiful here today too, but I must spend most of my time on the computer.

Deena, I hope you and the small persons have a good day.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Oh, my head's home has a library, a guest room (as well as a master suite with separate tub and shower in the bathroom), and a kitchen with room for a table.

My body's current home is a 1 bedroom, 580 square foot apartment. On the upside, it's relatively cheap to heat.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Calli and I are living in the same head-house and similar body-houses. My body house is about 100 sf smaller, tho. And, heat is included in my rent.
