What? She killed 'em with mathematics. What else could it have been?

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Sara loved it when I swirled in some baby applesauce or pears. And...extra messy!

That reminds me, I need to cook, puree, and freeze some pears tonight.

So, maybe a week or so with the cereal, and if it's problem-free, onward and upward? Solids right now are mainly to let her explore tastes and textures (mushy through extra mushy!), but I'm still worried about the cereal jamming up the works.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

We had Annabel on sweet potatoes and bananas within a week or so of starting rice cereal.

move out and draw fire

I've actually stopped Mal on the rice completely, but yeah, according to my pede you only have to wait 3 days before introducing a new food to be sure there's no adverse reaction. She also said to keep the new stuff coming. Veggies more than fruit, no carrots, strawberries, or oranges. (or peanuts or fish).

The only thing Mallory likes nearly as much as the rice is banana.

I think I'm going to have to suck it up and go to the dentist. I've got a toothache in my tooth with the filling.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Hivemom question: how long after the rice cereal introduction can we start on foods that taste good?

It's up to you, and Lily of course. With Franny we were more methodical, so I think it was a week or two or rice cereal, and once she got that down, a week of oat cereal and then on to the veggies. They recommend giving one new veggie at a time for 3 or 4 days--long enough to determine whether or not there is an allergy.

Isaac is good with the rice cereal, so we're starting the oat cereal this week. But I've already given him a fingerful or two of mashed banana. And I am probably going to start the teething biscuits very soon to help soothe his poor gums.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yeah, Emmett took to the sweet potatoes very well. 'Cuz...sweet! It's fun in the early days because their diapers fill with a rainbow of colors. Orange food? Orange poop. Green food? Green poop.

When you add meat to their diet, that's when their poop starts smelling like shit.

Mostly lurking...

Isaac is old enough to be eating cereal? It seems like he was just born a few days ago! Where does the time go???

I know, vw! He's practically crawling too.

Dang, I had forgotten how many parents are around these days. So many Buffista babies.

Er, you haven't met my son. Some call it a gift.

Thus was born the whole idea of no meat until potty training in this household.

Trust my rage

Isaac is a bit older than Lily, right? I need a list of Buffista babies - there are so many!

Aimee, Em is so cute and you look *great* in those pictures. And yay for "mama." Sooo cute.

Maria, it's so good to see you, you married lady! I'm so sorry about the store and your dad and sister. That sounds so scary.

Let's see - it feels like I've forgotten something or someone.
