Spike ,'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I'm getting the pig!

Oh, Cindy, that sounds very stressful for all of you. Lots of stay-calm-in-front-of-Ben ~ma to you and health ~ma for Ben.

I'm too damn lazy to edit.

Okay. Now I'm worried. Too lazy to edit? What have you done with Maidengurl?!?

It seems that every single report I ran for BigProject on Friday is useless because BigBoss decided to change focus weeks on us. Wheeee!

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm sorry he's not doing so great. Best of luck. Another in my series of heartwarming tags...somebody over at the H:LOTS online community made quotey icons and made me feel the love.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

{{Cindy & Ben}} I hope everything turns out well.

Librarian Warlord

Good luck to Ben. Here's hoping it is nothing.

I have a dentist appt this morning with a new hygentist. I couldn't sleep last night because I fear The Scraping.

Switching gears to brag about someone else's glory: A good friend's article in the Sunday NYT. She's a serious Firefly fan, too, thanks to my DVDs.

She holds an undergraduate degree in astrophysics from Princeton University ("serious geek cred"), but the writer Jennifer Kahn avoids the subject. "It's too creepy to imagine my former peers picking apart my explanation of dark energy," she says. "They're like freaking wolves, man. Relentless!" Kahn is a contributing editor at Wired, writes for National Geographic and Discover and has twice been included in the annual anthology "Best American Science Writing." Kahn was unsettled by the plastic surgeons whom she met for "The Stem Sell" (Page 94): "I'm not that self-conscious, but they all have suggestions. Evidently my eyebrows are too low, and they all offered to do them the next day." She doesn't wear makeup, but Kahn, who is based in Berkeley, Calif., swears by Hinoki body lotion from Ten Thousand Waves spa in Santa Fe, N.M.

Trust my rage

{{Cindy & Ben}}

I am back from Day 1 at the Gym. Overall, I'd rate it a 8 out of 10. It felt great to be active again and to work hard.

The daycare was okay - the women seemed nice, but Ellie was the only baby. It was sort of loud and Ellie was fussing when I picked her up. But, one of the women was holding her and she was quiet the minute I picked her up. I'm hoping tomorrow she will be a bit more comfortable in the new place. Plus, no matter what, it's only an hour.

Now tagless for your comfort.

{{{Cindy}}} I hope this is just a re-occuring but annoying innocuous thing.

I have found Mommy heaven this morning. The women's health center I go to (my lactation consultant, prenatal yoga, childbirth education class, etc.) has a TODDLER GYM. More Little Tykes playsets, baskets of toys, bins full of rubber balls and all the space you could possibly imagine. Complimented by comfortable chairs lined against the walls for moms and mats for floor play. Every Monday and Friday mornings.

Owen wore himself out playing this morning and I'm very, very happy.

sj, 85!!!!! Yay! I knew you wouldn't fail.

I've found those daycare situations can be a little overwhelming and louder than usual. But I hope Ellie can adjust and yay for a good workout!

I just remembered DH has to fly to Delaware tonight for work. Feh.

Mostly lurking...

{{{Cindy & Ben}}} Here's to hoping everything's ok.

I came into work early today, because I don't have to go to biology. Saw my boss, and he doesn't seem the least bit concerned that I was gone on Friday. Asked me if I was feeling better...said good...and that was that. Doesn't appear I'm going to have to have a "conversation" with him, for which I'm thankful.

I do hope I start doing better, though. This missing once a week thing is getting old and harder to explain.
