Enjoy! I went to a gay alum thing--two of the boys who graduated my year are now living in a swanky swanky building with a fancy rooftop deck, so it was up there. I'm horribly jealous of their real-estate. Sigh. The shocking thing was, there were actually other GIRLS there for once! Normally I'm the only one. They were not, technically, alums yet--they're first year law students (there were like, ten 1Ls, two of them girls). One of them ended up hitting on me a lot, but she was not at all my type. Sigh. Why couldn't she have been a cute girl I'd WANT to take home?
And now it's 8:30, and I'm already dressed ot go out, but I have nowhere to go. Le sigh. And my usual Saturday night plans are thwarted--my boys are going to someone's party and not to the bar they usually hang out at, so I can't go hang out with them. Damn them! Hmph.
You don't happen to live in NYC, meara? I'd think I would remember that. But I, too, am itching for a party.
Last Tuesday I bit the bullet and got hooked up with Fast DSL for $35/mo for 6Mbps downloads.
I cancelled cable TV and our cable modem service Friday. As of next Tuesday they will disconnect that and we will be on roof antenna.
If I forget to pay the remaining $29.88 I owe the cable company will they reconnect me in spite?
Nope, Gris--live in DC. Georgetown alum thing.
Still no idea what to do of an evening. Lame. Suppose I could go to the movies, but even that--I have a free admit-two pass, so it seems wasteful to pay, but even more wasteful to go on my own and not bring someone.
The internet is dead today. Maybe I'm on the wrong one.
I'm trying to keep busy this weekend, hopefully I'm heading out for the night. I was supposed to be getting married tomorrow. I'm doing better than I thought would be. In the next few days I need to try and just get rid of the dress and everything else, and hopefully after awhile, October 16 will just be like any other day.
This just in: blue eyeshadow makes me look like a clown. Or a whore. Or a clown that was so unfunny that she had to become a whore.
I've seen clown porn.
Unrelatedly, in Emmett's opinion "Orlando Cepeda" is the best and most euphonius name ever.
I've seen clown porn.
And apparantly lived to tell about it.
(Except, don't.)
I just watched Phantom of the Opera. I am so glad I didn't waste $10 seeing that on a big screen. Casting of the phantom was wrong wrong wrong. Also, it was weirdly paced, but I thought the stage musical was, too.
Also, there is an email I was supposed to get "late Saturday afternoon." It's now 10:27, and still no email. I can't finish some work I need to do until I get this email, and I was planning to finish the work tonight because I've got stuff I wanted to do tomorrow. I am getting rather aggravated at this point.
