gronk.
which should not happen on a day off. but it is. 3 days of not enough sleep. this am DH wakes up all chipper totake the car back to the dealer for something he has decided is wrong ( and he may be right). but he talked just enough to make me here the damn drip that WOKE ME UP ( it rained - I think one of our gutters has a problem) last night and kept me awake. and then as soon as he left - the cat started whining at me. have to go find coffee.
Oooh, coffee. I knew I was missing something!
Timelies. I actually got enough sleep last night. I feel all chipper, so I won't inflict it on anyone here. I'll just wish you all coffee, too.
Apparently Right-wingnuts are claiming "Commander in Chief" with Geena Davis is propaganda, a conspiracy to get people receptive for a Hillary Clinton presidential bid.
Excellent! Mayhaps it'll work.
Wasn't
Hearts Afire
a similar plot to get us receptive to Bill and Hil?
I've forgotten how to write essays. Ack.
Is 10:00 on a friday too early to go to bed?
God I hope not, I went to bed at 9.
Hurray for royalties and "Dear Author" letters!
Maidengurl, your mom's birthday is my mom's birthday! And the anniversary of the October Revolution. That's one question I could always get right in Russian History. Anyway, shoot me an e-mail with appropriate address and I will send a card.
Coffee, that's what I'm missing! Then it's laundry and packing for the great return to New Orleans. I'm a little askeered, but mostly glad that we can finally start moving towards the next thing, hopefully with most of our belongings still belonging to us. I hope that I never need get-my-stuff-out-of-the-condemned-house-before-we-are-evicted~ma again.
I had other stuff I wanted to say about people doing well on tests and work getting done and, um, see above about how I forgot to have coffee before posting...
-t, was your place on the first floor.
Cats + helium balloon on a weighted ribbon = mirth.
It was the right half of a duplex, two floors. From the pictures my friend took, the second floor was completely okay other than the ceiling falling in in the bathroom. I *think* the only damage to the first floor was to the carpets and walls and not our furniture. Mostly what I need is for a moving truck to be available. Mayflower sounded like they'd be able to do it, but I won't really be able to stop worrying until the truck is loaded up...
The idea of losing my furniture because it was ruined by a hurricane is so much more palatable than losing anything just because I couldn't find a way to move it. Somehow.
But really, all minor stuff. We know our car is running, we can get the really important things in the trunk if we have to. If I can just convince the worrying part of my brain to chill out for a few days, all will be well one way or another.
Replacing balloon weight with bell enclosed in a whiffle ball? Hi-Larious.
