The thing that appaled me was when B said, basically, "Now that we know that he'll drop the commercial, if it actually comes up again we'll probably let him off the hook, but we had to know he was a real friend and understood how important this day is to us."

You know, I can see being hurt/disappointed, whatever. I can't see telling one of my friends to give up 20,000 bucks, in order to make it to my wedding, whether or not the friend was in the wedding. That's just too much money to ask someone to give up. And in that business, getting a national commercial can mean so much. No. No way. That's just mean. I think the only thing you're allowed to do is so, "Oh, I hope there isn't a conflict; we'd miss you so much," and then feel really sorry for yourself, if there was a conflict, but totally understand because man, that's a lot of money.

I'd like a Gothic Charm School bumper sticker, but as I don't have kids I wouldn't use the "My Child is an Honor Student". Any chance of "Alumni of" stickers? It'd look nice next to my "Miskatonic University Alumni Association" sticker. (And my Miskatonic Alumni license plate frame)
