Yeah, me too.
Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Gratitude's just not their strong suit, huh?
Geez. I'd do the commercial, and it'd be my statement about friendship with people who don't understand that for all of us who aren't making, say, Alex Rodriguez's salary, $20-35K is a nice chunk of change that can go a long way toward paying down debts, buying cars, putting a down payment on a house, etc.
Had a second interview for the job where I'd be coordinating a fundraising bike ride. I'm not overly optimistic I'll get the job--they're offering a whopping 7 second interviews instead of the usual 2-3--but I felt like it went well, and that it'd fit in well with my novel-writing, toddler-raising lifestyle.
No. Generousity to a fault is their strong suit. They are Em's godparent's and have been very good friends to us. But sometimes, I just listen to them and wonder WTF??
The thing that appaled me was when B said, basically, "Now that we know that he'll drop the commercial, if it actually comes up again we'll probably let him off the hook, but we had to know he was a real friend and understood how important this day is to us."
OK, this woman has a SERIOUSLY FUCKED idea of what friendship is.
I sense that it's much more just a total lack of understanding of how most folks deal with finances.
She does because to her, she'd drop the commercial in a heartbeat. And not because she has the money to drop it, either. It's how she is and expects everyone around her to be the same.
Wait, the guy is NOT going to film the commercial?
He is. He spoke to the director and the producer and they are filming as planned. He's doing both.
Then again, they are t stage whisper REPUBLICANS.
