You will do fine. Once you set your mind to something, you seem to get yourself on track.
All my classes are excellerated 5 weekers. And I take them back to back, so there are no breaks. Normally it is not a problem, but there is just too much else in my life right now. I'm about to finish week 4, so I need to see this through. My next class is Critical Thinking - another heavy one. If I hadn't already ordered the book I'd see about switching, but I don't want to purchase ANOTHER book right now - why are school books so darned expensive?!?!?

That's typically true. We'll see if it sticks.

So very, very true. That's one of the things that's helping my struggle along as well.

I don't know, but they are just ridiculous! My biology class alone was well over $200 for all of the necessary "things." It's craziness!
I was just looking at my last post and realizing that I'm balancing my sanity against the cost of a book. Pitiful. I may just call my advisor and see if there is a "fluffier" class I can take next.
Hee! Might not be a bad plan. And, if nothing else, you can sell the book on half.com or ebay.

Because of limited market forces. They can claim supply and demand and jack up the prices.
Selling hte book is not an issue because I will have to take that Critical Thinking class at some point, I just might be able to shuffle things around and take it later.
A few of my students bought grey-market calculus books from India to save money. I'm not sure exactly how they bought them, though.
Is there anyplace online to get discounted textbooks?
Yay for progress, vw!
vw recently bought a text book on e-Bay, Hil. It was a little bait-and-switchy, though. The cover pictured on e-Bay was the same as the edition the class was supposed to buy. When the book arrived, it was a foreign (UK, maybe?) edition, I think--at any rate, it was somewhat different.
vw, what happened with that, anyhow? Was the substance of the text the same? Also and completely unrelated, did Emily get a pillow?

Probably through half.com. I know Emily got one this way.
I got my Biology textbook on ebay for $74, as opposed to the $130 it was in the bookstore. You can get a lot of textbooks on Amazon as well, which helps.
Thanks, Raq!
