Mal just ate a whole serving of green beans without the "dying here!" theatrics. I mixed them with pears. Small victories.

Mal ,'Our Mrs. Reynolds'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Great pictures, Raq. Thank you for sharing.
I think I just fixed my telly issues. Instead of the Replay (TiFaux) or television being on death watch, it was my vcr. Which goes along nicely with the apparent suicide of my dvd because those two can potentially bundle nicely.
Which doesn't explain at all why I am doing this between 4:30 and 5 in the morning.
I woke up, went to the bathroom, looked for the missing cat and noticed that the standby power on the vcr was either dying or making a mad dash for sentientious.
I chose to delve into the corner of doom and reroute everthing away from it because it hasn't been an important piece of the entertainment juggernaut for years and, if it achieved self-awareness, was likely to be pissed. Home electronics with a vendetta, it never ends well.
If this fixes the flickers and audio fades, I will be pleased. If I can go back to sleep for the next two hours, I will be more pleased in the short term.
You never know when inspiration will strike. Did you find the cat?
Poor not sleeping Nicole and Cass.
For those of you interested in the continuing saga, I just received this e-mail from my Computers and Humans professor:
Thanks for letting me know more about your status.
If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know.
Please keep me up to date. I hope you are able to continue with the class.
So, apparently, the e-mail did the trick. Now to start to try to catch up in the class...
Yay vw!
I skippity skipped and have not caught up on lj yet. I guess this means you have decided to stay with the class yourself? Last I heard you were doing your pro/con list.
I just wrote a note to my teacher asking for an extension on a couple of items due tonight. This is the first class I have ever done that for. With all the work and hospital hours I have been putting in, reading my text book and doing my assignments feels like I'm trying to read Latin instead of just Astronomy.

I'm going to try it for a few more weeks and see how it goes. I may still drop it, but for the time being I'm gonna make a go of it.
Sounds good. My classes are so short, just 5 weeks each, that it feels like do or die sometimes.
Eek! I hate those short classes sometimes. I mean, they can be good, 'cause you know you just have to push through for a few more weeks, but ugh, they can be tough to push through with as much as they pack into those few short weeks.
I just e-mailed the prof asking for an extention on the take-home quiz we have due on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure he'll say no, but it's worth a shot to ask. I'm also doing my presentation this Wednesday. It will be good to do that right away and gain some confidence in the class.
You will do fine. Once you set your mind to something, you seem to get yourself on track.
All my classes are excellerated 5 weekers. And I take them back to back, so there are no breaks. Normally it is not a problem, but there is just too much else in my life right now. I'm about to finish week 4, so I need to see this through. My next class is Critical Thinking - another heavy one. If I hadn't already ordered the book I'd see about switching, but I don't want to purchase ANOTHER book right now - why are school books so darned expensive?!?!?
