Shit's all sorts of different now.

Hmmm...I missed a bottle in there somewhere. But no, she doesn't have formula with her meals. She usually has water.

Grrr. ND loaned me a digital camera, because the only way I'll be making any money at all this month is to sell a bunch of stuff that I have, which is made much easier and more likely when you can include a picture of said item.

Unfortunately, ND didn't have the USB cable that goes with it. I thought I had one, but it's the wrong kind. This is making it difficult enough that it's not really worth it.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Thanks for the punctuation earlier today, y'all. I'm doing okay, but it sneaks up on me at random moments.

Meanwhile, I'm waiting for word on what we're doing in lieu of a funeral. That side of the family doesn't do funerals. There has been talk of going out to brunch.

And yes, this is the same side of the family that let me know about my grandfather's death by leaving a message on the answering machine.

What is even happening?

Hmmm...I missed a bottle in there somewhere. But no, she doesn't have formula with her meals. She usually has water.

So you're giving her abou 32 ounces and she's taking at least 24 of it? I think that's probably okay. It's the kind of question I think you can wait to ask, when she has a regular check up.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Hmmm...I missed a bottle in there somewhere. But no, she doesn't have formula with her meals. She usually has water.

When I was worried, I actually kept track for about 3 days, just to make sure how much I was preparing vs. how much he was drinking. It's easy to lose track when you're busy, have two people doing the feeding and have the baby in day care part of the time. I'd just try to keep a log--including asking the daycare people to log how much she actually drinks--if you're still worried.

When O switched to whole milk, I actually used a 28 oz. container and poured from it for a day to check. He was usually spot on. We tend to get a lot of waste, though--He doesn't always drink what I pour. And I'm a freak about not putting a used portion in a sippy cup back in the fridge because of the bacteria. I was the same way with formula (even though that shit is EXPENSIVE).

waves hi to Sean

Hope you're doing okay.

Pretty good, considering. She had a fairly easy passing, from what we can tell. She'd been failing for a bit, improving enough to be taken out for breakfast a few times before the end (yes, this probably hastened things, but better to have a few weeks less and have enjoyed champagne and Belgian waffles than to live for a few weeks more eating the stuff the convalescent home calls "food"). Then, she just kept getting more and more tired, then slipped into a coma and died.

This weekend, I'll probably dig out my copy of "My Father's Dragon"--the book she used to read to me, complete with funny voices--read, and bawl my eyes out.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I have no idea how much the girl eats. This may present a problem when I go back to work outside the house, because it's really hard to translate "until it's dribbling out her mouth because there's no room in her stomach" into ounces of EBM.

Hmm. Do most daycares do a scheduled thing? This could be awkward with an on-demand eater.

So, may I ask a favor?

I'm still beavering away at the Gothic Charm School Supplies store and it's getting time to think about the t-shirts. What do you think are the first four designs I should kick off with, taking from either what you see in various places around the store or phrases that you remember from the old articles, or things that remind you of Jilli?

I know, kind of open-ended but I feel kind of spoilt for choice and want to narrow my options down a bit. If you can help, thanks for your time.

eta: We'll be putting the designs on a variety of men's & women's tees and a baby tee and creeper.
