I want to be the type of person who really cares about all of that and is willing to get up in the morning and put on make up and really care about my clothes but...I seem to be lacking that kind of motivation.
somewhere around 38- 40 I suddenly had a wardrobe that 1) looked pretty good and 2) was easy to put on without thinking about it. I think that means I have a 'style'. but I need a black blazer.

I think there's a rule that says you don't have a style until you have a black blazer.
Facetiousness aside, I've just realised I have no blazers. When I did, they were stolen from guys. They were a staple, I thought, of any wardrobe, especially in black.
Haven't had one in years ... and I didn't even notice until now. I think the role was supplanted by black cardigans -- I have five or six, and black leather jackets -- same.
I have a gentle load - but not very often . it is pretty much the handwash stuff- but I have other things I will put in there, becuase they don't need scrubbing. maybe that is why my clothes last.
I think way too much about laundry.
I used to always have a black velvet blazer or three. I haven't bothered taking the time to hunt through the used clothing shops for years, so I have no blazer now. I should find me some again.
I do, however, have a black velvet men's tuxedo coat. I enjoy that one.
I need all new clothes. The only reason that unlike flea, I'm not wearing stuff I wore in high school and college, is that my second pregnancy made that never again possible. Everything I have is old, worn, and styleless. I think ita's pretty, pretty dress made it hit home.
Please send money.
My costumer girlfriend refuses to let me anywhere near the laundry, lest I destroy anything by using the wrong setting.
::steals Sean's girlfriend::
I so dislike doing laundry that I let DH do it regardless of the risk of clothes-destroyage. (Which is less now than it was when we met, as I have drilled into him the importance of READING LABELS.)
