Riley: Oh, yeah. Sorry 'bout last time. Heard I missed out on some fun. Xander: Oh yeah, fun was had. Also frolic, merriment and near-death hijinks.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Oh Anne, I'm so sorry for your loss.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I look like a basketball in a black dress.

A basketball could only dream of looking that good. You look lovely and Owen is still over the top with the cute. Between him and Halloween Mal, my cuteness meter broke.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I saw Bravehearts - Men In Skirts remaindered at Cody's Books for a mere $9.00. A good deal for a fancy photo book.

I saw the exhibit at the Met. It was pretty swoon-worthy.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Anne}}} I'm so sorry.

I love the picture of Owen sleeping, and the picture of his parents is great too. You can see where he got those wonderful genes.

I am meeting Teacup Guy's father and his girlfriend tonight. I am trying to decide what to wear and not to panic.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

{{{Anne}}}

This morning, instead of going in to work at 5am, I stayed home to drive the girls to school at 6:30 (they have PE during 0 period which starts at 7am). As they got out of the car, I said the typical "Love ya, be good", to which C answered "Don't get drunk at work".

Hummmmmmmm. Hadn't considered that option before.

Mostly lurking...

Ugh. I paid the stupidity tax and got a cab home instead of taking the T. The appointment lasted an hour. I was just supposed to be in and out to get my HepB shot. Instead, it turned into an hour long appointment where I got harped on about my allergies and asthma. So not what I needed. The NP was all, "you should really be seeing your PCP about this." I was all, "But she's only in on Wednesdays, and that's my long class day; there's just no way I can make it in on a Wednesday afternoon." She's all, "Well, we'll see."

And? Turns out my doc is only in every other Wednesday afternoon...just like I said. It's absolutely impossible for me to see her then. So, NP gave in and gave me some samples to hold me over till she can talk to PCP and have PCP call and talk to me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

((((Anne)))) My prayers to you and your family.

And, sj, remember how you were freaking out a few weeks back about meeting TG's friends and not being pretty or smart or interesting enough for them, and how after all that worrying they thought you were fabulous? Same drill here, only now that you've been through it before, you have my permission to skip the worrying step.

Also, ((((vw)))). Take the cab if that's what it takes. Hell, I'll Paypal you cab fare if you need it. Also, you have my cell number, so please keep me on the list of people to call if just plain talking and connecting will help any. I'm so sorry this is such a hard week for you.

eta: Glad you took the cab, but ugh, that NP needs a thwapping.

This is the only reason I said "trying not to panic", and not "I am in complete panic mode". The only problem is I am a complete mess this week, and I don't really want that to show.
