Can't even shout, Can't even cry. The Gentlemen are coming by. Looking in windows, knocking on doors. They need to take seven, and they might take yours. Can't call to mom, can't say a word. You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Wowza, ita! What size are the shoes? If you don't think you'll wear them again, I'd buy them from you.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'm wearing black to at least two wedding this month.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They're nine, Aimée -- will that work for you?

I love the dress -- I was grateful for the slimmest of excuses to buy it. My wardrobe is very geometric, and lacking in pretty (although I like pretty -- it just never showed up). That dress is both geometric and pretty (you should see the silk move).

The shoes -- well, if I'm going to integrate delicate shoes into my wardrobe, I need baby steps.

If I only had a brain...

I think I want this in vintage rose.

Nice, Betsy.

This [link] is what I'm wearing to my upcoming weddings. [ETA except without the freaky hair and facial expression.] Both are afternoonish ceremonies with dinner reception. I'm trying to figure out options for a wrap or coat of some sort - it's supposed to be about 50 this weekend, and god knows what it'll be like on the 29th. Ideas? Shoes for the first one at least will be strappy black sandals, a lot higher (and less delicate) than ita's.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

ita you liar, you have loads of pretty dresses in your closet. Still, why not add one more?

I have only one pretty dress, okay two, but only one that fits me at my current boobage. And even so, I have way more dressy dresses than I have opportunity to wear them.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

My problem is that I look at those pictures and love the dresses, but I can't see them on me. I completely lack that ability to transfer a dress from a reed thin model to what it might look like on my size 18 bumpy body.

Blarg.

I have going-out dresses that I'd describe as ... well, words that imply less delicacy than pretty. Hot, perhaps, or eye-catching (I don't shop by occasion, but rather because I passed something in a store window), but NSM with the pretty. The dress I wore to the LA F2F is probably the prettiest I had before this, or maybe the blue I wore to last year's weddings.

Let's just say -- this was the first time in 26 years I've needed delicate shoes.

Aimée, they're yours (as of about 11pm Saturday night, I suspect).

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Damn, ita. Please take a picture when you're wearing that dress.

ION, the existence of Graeters pumpkin ice cream (back for the season) is proof enough of a benevolent deity. Sweet lord, is that stuff amazing.
