Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

It's a pity the Firefly thread has become NAFDA. I can't just pop in and mention that I was flipping channels and saw that MTV News has a special Flick'd bit on Serenity. [link]

Also? Serenity is the #1 requested movie on Moviephone.com theater lookup site.

Silence means security silence means approval

Friday estimates are in on Firefly.

Bad news: $3.9M, second to Flightplan ($4.4M).

Good news: $1782/screen, second to A History of Violence ($1866).

Indifferent news: Man, this is going to be a weak box office weekend.

Thrive to spite them

I just got back from the football game, first one of the season for me. The team played great but I couldn't enjoy it because of the drunk obnoxious assholes behind me. They used foul langauge almost the whole time, even after it was pointed otu there were kids near.

One guy, who looked about 45, but inside is really 7, pulled my hair twice and then tapped my shoulder to get me to turn around and then acted like I was stupid to think someone tapped me on the shoulder. At that point I told them if they touched me again I was going to get the cop to throw them out.

After that they talked shit about me and when I turned around at one point to tell them to knock it off they acted surprised that I even heard what they said.

Unfortunatly they never touched me again so I couldn't get them kicked out, but they did continue to talk shit about me. I kept waiting for one of them to call me a bitch, because I figured that was coming=== they told some other guy who sat down that I was a spoilsport and kept ruining their fun.

Dad said something to them as well.

All the decades that we've been going to the games and that's the worst time I've had because of obnoxious drunks. Luckily they were just there for that one game. At least hopefully.

We have a thunderstorm in Seattle right now, complete with lightning and hail.

And I never got around to cleaning the gutters this summer. I am regretting that right now.

Annabel's fascinated, though.

You should have gone for the cops right at that moment. Bullshit like that shouldn't happen at football games.

They want to act like drunk-ass college students? Then they should start with getting their GED.

Next time anyone tries to harass me like that I'm going to the cops first.

Our wings are not tired.

Absolutely askye. Zero tolerance for that kind of behavior. Brendon always insists that people tone down the language at family events. They usually listen. He would have kicked their asses for giving you a hard time, and I woulda let him.

Thrive to spite them

I just read my mail. I have a collection notice from MCI, well a debt collection agency MCI is using. I have 10 days to pay the amount. This is from 2003. I haven't paid it because I thought the matter was taken care of. If I remember correctly I was switched to MCI without my authority and didn't even know I wasn't with sprint until they called and wanted me to switch back. I thought the matter had been taken care of and I wouldn't have to pay.

But it's from 2003 and I know I don't have any records of that. I'm going to call them on Monday about this.

Do you think these people will believe me if I tell them I changed without my permission and I thought I'd taken care of the matter?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

so tired. don't know if it is from getting up at 4 am ("there's a 4 o' clock in the morning now?") to catch a plane to Columbus or if it is from 8 hours of babysitting 1 three year old + 1 eleven month old, sans backup.

I swear, I do not know how parents do it. And, they were GOOD (for the most part except for the post dinner, pre-bedtime random fussing)!Though, my general exhaustion kind made me very zen about it. Even all the poop related incidents (and no, I am not just talking about diapers here)

Anyway, hats off again, to those who are raising the kids. Because, hard. Though I assume the intensive immersion training helps some in the long run.

makes note to call doctor about IUD

which reminds me, when trying to insert my Nuva Ring, Erin, the 11-month old was so intrigued as to what was going on there! It made me laff and laff.

Protest it askye. The collection agency doesn't have the records either. They'll drop it.

eta: Giggling at Nora. It is a bit easier getting them as babies and growing into the care stuff. Just dropping into it with a 3yo and 11mo old is tough. When mine were that span I already had a bunch of experience.
