Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Still at work. Loopy loopy loo. Shutting down though.

Work sucks.

Silence means security silence means approval

Still at work. Loopy loopy loo. Shutting down though.

Work sucks.

For the last year or so I've been seething that I was dropped in rank thanks to the new overtime laws.

Until the past two weeks, when the fact that I now get paid overtime has saved me from long nights at the office.

I may stay late next week if they'll pay overtime, though.

All is well that ends in pizza.

You decided to respond to my 13.5 hour workday with cat pictures?

You both suck eggs.

move out and draw fire

All I have to add to the general work bitching is vicarious: DH's office finally got new office chairs yesterday. This was a major score, as there is never any money, but the chairs they had were very broken and old. So he had to stay late to take delivery of the...conference table chairs.

Yep, procurement bought them chairs with no rollers and no adjusters, the kind that go around conference tables, as desk chairs.

Also, his new boss is a goober. He's one of those Professional Submissives, whose head is tucked forward on his neck from so much deferential head-bobbing.

What do I do with her carseat once we are on the plane?

Several internet sites I've read recommend using the car seat on the plane, which befuddles me. I don't think there's enough room, for starters (at least for ours, which should've come with the warning that you would need to buy an SUV or minivan to go with it). And most people don't get a seat for the baby.

And, let's face it, planes don't really have fender benders.

Aww, man, I was really hoping that the "Baby Temporary Tattoos" was a temp tattoo of a fetus to put on a pregnant belly. That would be kinda cool.

Dude, that would rock! In a gross way. I wonder if anyone makes custom temp tats?

Amy, sorry about your and your friend and her son's loss. That's so sad.

We took Mallory for his 6-month pede visit yesterday. He wasn't at his best, as he'd spent the day with the babysitter and thus hadn't napped, but the pede was charmed anyway. She offered to babysit him. He worked his charm on me as well, when he fell in love with a big stuffed dolphin at the store: [link]

Poor Hec!

Poor dw!

Amy, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. What a tragic loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Raq, that pic of you and Mal and the dolphin is just priceless! Thanks for sharing.

No wonder Mal is so beautiful.

You decided to respond to my 13.5 hour workday with cat pictures?

Nope. Merely coincidental posting, I was skimming.

You both suck eggs.

Nope. But I have blown them.
