ETA: Nope. Still no real details, just "isn't dead yet."
Oh, I'm so sorry, Emily. On top of it being sad, and scary, having so little information must be frustrating for you.

Cashmere, it's good to read good news about your nephew. How is your sister?
Cashmere, that sounds like positive news. I'm so glad. I was so scared for your whole family when I read your news yesterday.
Cashmere, what a relief. That's so wonderful.
(Dear Universe, Cashmere is setting a precedent here. Play along)
Cash, I am glad to hear that Scott will recoer. How are you doing?
Is the freakin tape-delayed race at 3 or 3:30?tape delayed is showing qualifying now and race at 3:30. I am off to watch the Indy race as it happens and the freakin tape delayed a little more delayed. Danny clinches the moment he hits the track so I am all about the championships today since young Fernando just got his in Sao Paulo.
X-posted from Firefly thread:
At the Ren Fest yesterday, Andi and I saw someone wearing a "Joss Whedon is my master now" t-shirt.
(Dear Universe, Cashmere is setting a precedent here. Play along)What. She. Said!
I hope you hear more news soon, Emily.

Thanks, everyone. I'm ok--just tired from the car trip. My poor sister is completely wiped out. Her husband had pulled a double shift at work when he got the call from Scott's gf. So after spending all night at the hospital, the poor man was awake for two days straight.
I *just* got off the phone with my sister and they did take him off the respirator a few minutes ago. The first words out of his mouth were, "I'm so sorry, Mom."
I'm just glad he's young and strong. I hope he learns his lesson from this. He came very, very close to not making it.

Good thing. Sometimes, I wish family and friends could bottle all the fear, pain, and heartbreak they experience when a loved one is addicted, and somehow let the addict feel it first hand.
