Inara: We thought we lost you. Mal: Well, I've been right here.

'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

Cash, any word?

Cass, glad you got through the day, and I hope the BiL can beat this disease.

{{{Emily}}}

Susan, thank you! I may very well be able to use some references from those sites.

Mal just took his first tumble. He was lying in a chair and rolled out. Not serious, as it was a low chair and he landed on the cat. Who didn't move. Mal cried from being scared, but recovered quickly.

I am still freaking out, and that's it for leaving him anywhere that's not the floor.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Oh, I do hope that Em wakes soon, though briefly, so she knows she has your caring and support. And then falls easily back to sleep for a while. Bug caring is quite special.

I really hope that the BiL sticks with it. And I wish I were more optomistic about his chances.

Cass! I took the book cover into Michael's yesterday and got it framed. I can't wait to get it back. I picked a very pretty wood frame with blue tints in it. It's gonna be gorgeous. The woman that was framing them just loved it. She said I should hang it on my door as a symbol of me.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Cashmere, Cass, Emily and Steph, I hope you get a respite from family dramas. That's all rough stuff.

Our wings are not tired.

{{Emily}} Peace to you, and yours, and grandma.

Yay Andi and the random kindness of strangers.

Sorry about the tired and the sweaty Steph, but Yay burrito!

Yay for Susan and dw’s date. I need to do that more often too.

waves to Denver fun having folks.

{{Cass}} Family stress sucks.

Sorry about the show hiatus Trudy, it sounded like it was going so well. Curses geography for lack of access to BFD Caroline’s show.

{{Raq and Mal}} That gravity thing is so inconvenient at times.

Our wings are not tired.

And after xpost because I am the slow person at this hour, hi billytea and vw!

I may go down to Miami to see Alibelle today. She in is South Beach before going on a cruise tomorrow. She suggested lunch, but I am trying to diet and lately it seems I have some food involving event happening every other day. In an attempt to change my way I checked out the local events calendar for an alternative. DH suggested Miami Seaquarium, but it is in the 90's and I don't know if they or I could take it.

So I checked the Miami events calendar and found this at the University of Miami:

THE STORY OF JAZZ

Simon Salz and Friends, and some of South Florida’s hippest jazz musicians, will take children on a historical journey of jazz. Experience a toe-tappin’ New Orleans parade, a raucous Mississippi riverboat ride to Chicago, and the swinging sounds of New York’s Harlem renaissance! Everyone is invited to participate in the marching, clapping, scat singing, and the ABC Party – that’s an Apple juice, Balloons, and Cookies party – following the concert, hosted by Peter the Mime.

So I'm thinking that Alibelle and her mother would enjoy this, as would my children. Family outing and all. I may have a plan.

Laura, that sounds lovely.

I'm working on my lab report. I wanted to try to do it all on the computer, but really, my computer drawing is TERRIBLE. I just don't see myself being able to continue to do this, which is too bad, 'cause it would definitely be prettier this way.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Huggles and snuggles and lots of ~ma to all the Bitches.

I'm still so happy about my shiny new pretty.

Cass! I took the book cover into Michael's yesterday and got it framed.

On the way back from meeting friends for dinner after the Ren. Faire, Daniel detoured up into the cities. I saw a sign for a Michael's and said, "Oooh, we can stop there and get some silver wire to make a pendent of the crystal." So he turned around at the next intersection, and headed for it. Odd that there were no cars in the parking lot 6:00pm Saturday. I stayed til 10 far too many times while working at Michael's in Ohio to think it should be closed already. Turns out it had yet to open. WTF? The building looks complete, the signs are up out on the road, but there's a banner on the door saying it will open February 2006. Dudes, do you really wanna miss the holiday sales?

The crystal looks like this, only less intense with the pink in the center, and is about an inch long: [link]

Raq, I'm glad the cat's got Mal's back.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I am happy that it just basically lept into your life. Daniel is quite the gentleman too.

t blushes

I'm very grateful for the blessings of the day.

It was indeed an excellent day, Milady.

All is well that ends in pizza.

On the way back from meeting friends for dinner after the Ren. Faire

We met for burgers at The Lion's Tap in Eden Prairie.

Lion's Tap sits along the Minnesota river, and up the valley ridge about a quarter mile from it is a capped and piped spring. The city doesn't guarantee it's eternal freshness, but hey...constantly running artesian spring water.

Back at the restraunt they sell those empty 5 gallon canola oil jugs restaurants use. They have been washed and rinsed and sell for 3 for a dollar. I spied them for sale under a small counter and bought three on the spot.

We now have 15 gallons of spring water in the back of the van for me to haul into the house.
