I would be there right now.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

And some mearaing, off the top of my head:

Teppy, do what feels good. At least for one night.

Happy birthday Emmett! My god, he's grown!

Susan, that sucks. But at least you're doing good with the interviews in addition to the resume, even if it hasn't been quite enough?

There was other stuff, but I forget.

Amy - Sep 23, 2005 4:06:35 pm PDT #4794 of 10001
Because books.

Oh, Teppy, I'm sorry about your dad. I think it's more than okay that you stayed home tonight, too. {{{Tep}}}

Susan, that bites. A phone call is a bit unexpected and hard to deal with in that situation. Luck~ma for more interviews.

So stuffed up and tired. The weather turned today and it's gorgeous and cool and autumnal, but my nose is obviously protesting this. Blech.

Always Anti-fascist!

Whoops, skipped some posts or something, Cindy(and Tep) Well, I hope it makes you feel better. I suppose you know yourself, Tep. I definitely don't think any less of you or anything.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Better news -- the blown heater/AC blower? Turned out it actually CAUGHT ON FIRE at some point while one of us was driving, and yet we're not dead!

Wow. That is kind of a silver lining, indeed.

Too tired. Got cranky with the hubby. I'm off for bed.

Teppy, I hope your father is doing better and you, too, for that matter.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Sorry, Susan. The trip from, "Boo-ya, I'm in!" to "Oh, well, thank you for calling," is a lousy one. Twice seems particularly unnecessary.

It's been a week since they were scheduled to start reviewing applications for my current dream job. No calls, so far. On the upside, apparently, no calls so far.

Steph, I hope the evening at home is restful and calming.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Yeah, there's nothing like knowing you survived deadly peril without knowing you were in it!

Dylan says he's heard of people doing phone rejections, and it is indeed meant to be a courtesy. I still don't like it. Puts you too much on the spot to be polite under duress, what with the five seconds of hope followed by crushing disappointment.

Eek. Have just purchased plane ticket to be back in Indy for 15 hours for my high school reunion--I get in at 5PM, and leave the next morning at 8AM. This had better be worth it. If nobody I know is there I"m gonna be PISSED. (But in either case, I get to see my sister and her new house. But still)

Because books.

Jake just came home from the eighth-grade dance and announced that he's "no longer single."

::thunk::

Her name is Nicki. I'm so not ready for this.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Teppy, take care of yourself... I hope you are sleeping by now or soon.

Did I miss an announcement in Press?
Skipper.
And the best news: I'm going to get my leaving student worker piss-drunk, so I'll be calling you about a ride or something at some point.
Maybe that last point isn't good news for you, but it is for me, since I want this week to end soon.
snerk So there with you. Well not the drinking and calling spouse, but damn this week feels good to have over.

You know, people will happily wonder whether "this is your natural haircolor" but they never bother to ask if it is your natural personality. They should. I, personally, have several.

Though the hair is currently becoming slightly more monotone thanks to Miss Clariol or somesuch, one of the semi-perms. Which is funny since I am spending tomorrow at the beach where the sun will have its way with me and I will have to do this whole thing all over again.

The nieclet's 16th birthday party is tomorrow. I'll be needing those...
