I'm tired, but left work at a decent hour, and really want to go see a friend's band play.

Meanwhile, am going to work tomorrow, and we are all playing a mean mean trick on my boss--it's going to be crazy tomorrow, and we're all planning to call in with various excuses throughout tonight and tomorrow morning before she comes in, so she'll arrive to like, seven voicemails saying "I'm really sorry, but I can't make it in...". And then we'll all show up together. We were considering feeling guilty and not doing it, but then she wanted to play just as mean of a trick on another coworker, so we decided it was ok. And we warned her boss. Who laughed her ass off. Hee. Then we all went out for margaritas. Tomorrow, after the working, we're having crabs.

In short, the working? sucks, but we're making the best of it.

So stuffed up and tired. The weather turned today and it's gorgeous and cool and autumnal, but my nose is obviously protesting this. Blech.

Whoops, skipped some posts or something, Cindy(and Tep) Well, I hope it makes you feel better. I suppose you know yourself, Tep. I definitely don't think any less of you or anything.

Better news -- the blown heater/AC blower? Turned out it actually CAUGHT ON FIRE at some point while one of us was driving, and yet we're not dead!

Wow. That is kind of a silver lining, indeed.

Too tired. Got cranky with the hubby. I'm off for bed.

It's been a week since they were scheduled to start reviewing applications for my current dream job. No calls, so far. On the upside, apparently, no calls so far.

Steph, I hope the evening at home is restful and calming.

Dylan says he's heard of people doing phone rejections, and it is indeed meant to be a courtesy. I still don't like it. Puts you too much on the spot to be polite under duress, what with the five seconds of hope followed by crushing disappointment.

Eek. Have just purchased plane ticket to be back in Indy for 15 hours for my high school reunion--I get in at 5PM, and leave the next morning at 8AM. This had better be worth it. If nobody I know is there I"m gonna be PISSED. (But in either case, I get to see my sister and her new house. But still)

Jake just came home from the eighth-grade dance and announced that he's "no longer single."
