Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Those first ones, sadly, were a mistype in the auction title--that weight range is the 3-6 month range. Curses!

I'll find them. I just want the instant gratification.

I mean, this is the closest I'll be getting to retail therapy for a good while, and I swear, quitting Sephora is going to be worse than quitting smoking.

(Of course, I'm the person who quit because she forgot to buy cigarettes in a fit of too busy no time, and then stuck with it when people told her how good she was at cutting back. I backslid like hell a year or so later, and was back to a pack or more a day, but that ended just as quickly, and for just as little reason.)

So, if your depression is situational (finances being the situation), and therapy of the real sort would only make the situation worse (more bills to pay, yay!), then, umm, there's really no point in doing jack, is there?

Silence means security silence means approval

I've built my own about a thousand times without buying. Must really find the funds to do this. Did you get the large bag? Cause I'm thinking that may be too big for my purposes as a tote/diaper bag.

I got the medium, which is huge enough. It's larger than a standard backpack. Large could probably fit a six month old. XL will fit a toddler, two books, and a week's supply of Cheerios comfortably.

Small would probably be the right size for a tote bag. It's a little bit smaller than a standard backpack.

What is even happening?

Mommmmmm! The President is on all the channelllls!
Not TMC (showing Desk Set right now, yay!) or Discovery Health -- you could watch "You Swallowed What?"
All the people who believed "Brownie" was doing a good job need to watch You Swallowed What.

I want to paint a blue paw print on Teppy's ass, and super-impose a lip print on top of that.

Er...WHAT?

What Cashmere said, meara. Teppy's Crush Boy needs a major clue. On the kids' show-- Blue's Clues, Blue (the dog) gives Steve (1st host) or Joe (current host) and the viewers clues as to what she wants to do, or what she's thinking about, etc. She leaves blue colored paw prints on three objects. Steve/Joe and the audience look around until they find something with a blue paw print on it (A clue! A clue!). They jot it down in their Handy Dandy Notebook. When they've found all three clues, they sit down in their "Thinkin' Chair" and think (think, think...) until they figure out what the three clues are pointing towards.

I think Crush Boy is clueless, and needs to be told to kiss Teppy's ass.

Mostly lurking...

Timelies!

I just got the neatest e-mail from my step-grandma. I had e-mailed her yesterday asking if I could use her as my subject for my senior honors thesis on oral history. She said she'd be honored and is amazed at how everything has worked out for this. People have been asking her for her life story for years now, and just in the last week 2 people have asked her to try to write it down. But, she has a very difficult time doing that. She said just yesterday that she was thinking that she wished she could *tell* it to someone. And she came home to my e-mail. Isn't that cool? I'm so excited! I'll probably go visit her for a couple weeks in January to do the recording part. Yay!

meara, I agree with beth. Tell your supervisor that you're flirting with the idea and want to apply to see if you even have a chance. Give lots of reassurance about all kinds of good stuff, and you should be good to go.

That's so cool, vw.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

OMG I am so tired and dammit.

Last night- out with my friend B and my cousin L (Tom was able to make a pop in appearance, yay). Drank a couple beers, ate some yummy Indian food, went back to B's place to stay over (it wouldn't have been feasible to try to organize getting back home on the train) stayed up past midnight with B talking about how much her life sucks, then I tried to sleep on the most uncomfortable futon on the floor in the stuffy heat and OMG, if I got an hour of actual full on sleep I would be surprised.

I'd have called in and just gone home, but I have plans tonight with a friend, in town, that I really really really cannot blow off. Now I'm thinking it might not have been the craziest thing in the world to go home, get some sleep, and come back, and then go home again, but actually, that is pretty crazy.

OMG. Can't function.

Also, my craxydum cow-orker is having a WINGDING about something that is honestly not a big deal. Slamming shit around and muttering angrily and stuff. Sigh.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Harvey the cat is in the crook of my arm right now, drifting between purring and sleeping.

His tiny little head is draped over my shoulder, with one paw underneath to prop his chin.

So cute.

Too bad I have to go get changed for work and stuff..
