Yep, mom's parents.
Cappy was very crushworthy. He was a neighbor of Nana's and was paying his way through Cal Berkeley by working at a local gas station, where she would urge her mother to go for frequent fill-ups and then stare at him, too shy to say anything. So he started writing her letters, saying things like "So I was thinking that we might take in a picture show this Friday. If this sounds good to you, give me a call. Or give me a call if not. Just give me a call." She kept the letters in a little tin box that my mom just found in the study at their condo in Reno.

He had a sailboat too.
Named after Nana.
It's easy to see, looking at the pictures, who was the petted and pampered only child with boatloads of self-confidence and a certainty of the world's good intentions, and who was demon-haunted.
I'm quite peevedaboo right now. I was venting to Tom about work stuff and annoying co-worjer and our interactions and emails I wrote to my boss and he. Kept. Wincing. and grimacing. Finally, I was just like, "fine, if you think I was such a dumbass I'll just shut up."
Uggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is there unpeevedaboo~ma?
unpeevedaboo~ma
This may be the most nonsensical thing ever said, and yet I understand it.
I just hate feeling like he thinks I'm an idiot too. I may be an idiot but perhaps there is a more CONSTRUCTIVE way to convey it so that I don't want to rip his arms off and slap him silly with them????
Insent shortly.

OK, I want to read that book right now. Or maybe I have. Either way, there's a National Book Award hiding in there.
Hec said I should post these here so Plei could see them; I'm really not a horribly vain double-poster, it was all his idea:
I had seen, and intended to comment! So pretty.
I wish I still had pictures of Gram from when she was young, but I think my annoying cousin took them all.
Gud, I'm very sorry.
Being a good person doesn't mean every marriage will work. And you really are a good man, and have worked very hard in good faith (so to speak) to deal with the issues in your marriage.
Yes. This. Gud, you're under heaps of pressure and you've been doing your best. Remember to be good to yourself.
(2) You have me calling everything/everyone "[thing]aboo." I hope you're happy.
I like this. Octopus womanaboo, please let me go.
I just got upsold by a guy at Dell. I feel dirty.
And you know that the only thing that will get you clean is a righteous rain to wash the scum off our streets.
