Basically? Gay punk.
Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I just saw this word for the first time today. Could you tell me what it means? I think I get it from context, but I'm not sure.
The suffix -core comes from "hardcore" and when added to a musical genre implies that it's a hardcore punk flavor of said genre.
So, emocore is emo music played loud, fast and harsh. And queercore is a gay band playing music loud, hard, and fast.
Or what Plei said in four words where I took 40.
Thanks for all the Birtday wishes!

Thanks, Plei. I saw Allyson use it earlier and then when you used it, I had to find out what it was. I'm afraid it's totally outside my radar, musically. I'm pretty much a top 40 listener on the radio. At home, it's a mix of jazz, blues, soundtracks and world music.
Panicking. Crazy week ahead. Too much stuff. All must be done.
Hee. I love things with -core added to them. Even in a completely non-punk context. It's just fun.
I freely and happily admit that I have no time for dating or really any kind of with-friends-spending time. I do wish that didn't preclude sex-having, though.
I am SO with Emily right now, it's not even funny. I don't have TIME to start a relationship and go on dates and have a crush and shit. Unless I was crushing on someone at work. Which, bad idea, and ew, given the options. But getting some on a regular basis (and not just on a "you've flown to Minnesota" basis) would be so nice...
When I listened to the radio, it was pretty much NPR, but they started to suck a lot in recent years, so it's CDs in the car for me. It's the only way I ever remember to listen to anything.
At home, I don't actually listen to much music these days. I own a lot of music, but owning and using are not, it turns out, the same thing.
My public transportation commute to work is an hour each way, so I do a lot of iPoding. Often I connect my iPod to a set of computer speakers at work. So now I'm listening to a shitload of music.
I thought I had a lot of albums in college, but now I have about four times as much.
{{{Teppy}}} - but seriously, a guy who has never heard of Tim Drake is so obviously NOT the right guy.
And in other words -- Happy Birthday to Trudy and Cara in the last five minutes of their day (central time.)
My life is stresscore right now. Stress, only loud, hard, and fast.
