I don't doubt this is true. However: (1) I don't have an egg slicer. (2) That's one second per mushroom and could easily get to half a minute in no time. (3) Presliced mushrooms are already sliced. No seconds of slicing are involved.

I put in the restorative Kniepp hops/herbal bath and lit her candle. She's reading The Mammoth Book Of Pulp Fiction and drinking fizzy water.
Presliced mushrooms are also prewashed.
