Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

What is even happening?

Oh. That's not just me.

I had to cancel my hair appointment for tonight. My neck is still too sore. I don't think I could handle having my head back in the sink, and I'm too tired of it hurting to try. I *SO* need a haircut, I can't stand it, never mind the color.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Ugh. Email from my dad - a close friend of my mom's just died. I need this day to end so I can get the hell out of here and drink. And figure out if I can fit a trip up to Ottawa into all the craxy ass travel I might have to do in the next few weeks.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Mayhap the bride is in the family way.

Now, that would be old school of them, to rush a wedding because of a pregnancy!

I guess this is what I get for being so determined to make the editor/agent panel so much better than last year's (which also only featured four people), because I'm just so well-organized and so good at this kind of thing!

And naturally the editor who canceled back in July and this agent were the ones I was most hoping to make contact with for the sake of pushing my own work. Le sigh.

If I only had a brain...

I like Sew-Sew's method of repurposing.

That's not dedication. Goat. Goat says dedication.

What is this, Summerisle? I'll flush some goldfish. That's my final offer. Okay, I'll throw in some some daddy-longlegs too, the creepy little bastards.

I like it too, but I'm not willing to spend that amount of money for something I can do on my own (and probably with better-quality trims) in an evening.

Now it's getting serious! We need a chiro, stat!

Oh, I just planned to steal the technique, Jilli.

Good. Because it's dead easy. Plus, just about every fabric store is currently selling black twill tape with pre-set grommets, so adding a cinching effect to anything became much, much simpler. Two 12" strips of grommet tape down the back seams of a jacket takes about 15 minutes to sew at most.

Is Cheaptrims still your lace vendor of choice?
