No, it's shiny! I like to meet new people. They've all got stories...

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I did love the scene in the Meatloaf biopic where Jim Steinman was auditioning singers and Meatloaf shows up...

I don't know if it wasn't apocryphal, but it was fitting.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

vw, Lucy has someone come in two days a week to walk her and she loves it. I like the idea that she gets a little more social interaction, for one thing. Plus I adore the little notes they leave each day. If Not!Emily isn't sure he can do it, a dog walker is not at all a bad option.

Because books.

Good luck at school tonight, Nora!

I'd love to be going back to school. And vw has matching purple notebooks and pens!

The boys are off for their first days at the their new schools. The house is not noticeably quieter, since they were sleeping in all summer, but I do feel a bit more on top of things than usual, since it's only 9:15 and the baby and I are up and have had breakfast. And we're making their favorite back-to-school dinner of meatloaf and mashed potatoes tonight.

I talked to my dad this morning, and he thinks Toto can make it. I just don't like it. He doesn't want me spending the money. I don't want Toto getting the idea that it's ok to just have accidents in the house. So, I'm battling myself right now. Not!Emily didn't get up before I left, so asking him wasn't an option today. I'll see how Toto does, but I really should have thought of this earlier.

This is a road you definitely don't want to go down.

You know what, though? I'd give it a shot without a couple of times - dogs are way more resilient and capable than you'd think. Lucy's daytime walks are purely a luxury, for me as well as her. But I don't know if Toto being so little affects it, though.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

"I would do anything for love, but I won't do... [performs complicated and vaguely obscene gestures] that."

Now I wanna know what "that" is. Somethinge obscene with a chicken?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gronk. I just woke up from a school nightmare. I need to get dressed and go to therapy before class.

Today is my level 2 ultrasound. I'll know whether the next buffista baby is a boy or a girl by this afternoon.

Yay! Can't wait to hear the news.

Good luck with class tonight, Nora!

You have a very packed schedule, vw. Good luck today.

Trust my rage

I'd offer to pay him $10, so it's not like I'd be totally taking advantage of him. My other option is to have someone come in and walk Toto, but I think I would prefer this. What do you think?

I'd tell not!Emily the situation and see what he says. I would feel bad being in an apartment with a dog that had to go. It mighht make him happy to know you prefer him. Maybe you can do something nice for him that doesn't cost $$.

Coding and Sleeping

My daughter was telling made-up jokes the other night. They were kind of random, but there was one I liked that she just made up.

Q: Why did the orange roll across the road?

A: Because the chicken wasn't there.
