Man, I haven't thought about Mylene Farmer in a long time. Anamorphosee was the album I knew.
That was the only one I used to have (apart from burned copies of a couple others). I think this one is better. It's called Point de Suture.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

A good space mix needs some Sun Ra. And a version of "Interstellar Overdrive". I made one a while back, but never posted it to Brawk.
Thanks for the heads up, Frankenbuddha. I'll have to check it out.
RIP, Dennis Yost of Classics IV.
Corwood, here's some of what I've got from my personal collection:
Starman - Dar Williams version
Space Oddity - Bowie
Stars - tatu
Stars - Dubstar
Different Stars - Trespassers William
Space Monkey - Placebo
Lady Pilot - Neko Case (reminds me of Starbuck)
I Want an Alien for Christmas - Fountains of Wayne
Astro Zombies - MCR version
BSG original theme
Ewok celebration and finale (hee!)
Space Dementia - Muse
Spaceship - Kanye West
eta line breaks. ::sigh:: Several of those songs are from a mix shrift posted on el jay, I do believe.
"Another Girl, Another Planet"
Oh, hey, I have that from the D.E.B.S soundtrack.
Are there any space mixes up on brawk?
I haven't posted anything because it's such a minority interest (I presumed) but I have a mix titled The Ineluctable Grooviness of Tomorrow which is early 70s science fiction themes, and library music tracks heavy on the Moog and Fender bass. Funky and synthetic!
Key tracks would be "E.V.A." by Jean Jacque Perry (much sampled, and famously remixed by Fatboy Slim), "The Black Queens Beads" from the Barbarella sdtrk (very sexy) and "Sex World" from the Star Maidens soundtrack.
It's seventies-sexy and space themed.
Also, I've been putting together a mix for myself titled Ballrooms of Mars which is nothing but glam rock ballads with a space theme (there are a lot).
Does any of that interest you, smonster?
"Riding on the Rocket" - Shonen Knife
Planet Earth, Duran Duran
Planet Claire, B-52s
