Corwood: congratulations!
Elvis Costello's show: turns out it's available On Demand. They've got the Elton John and the Lou Reed episodes up. I've watched the Elton John one (excellent) and can't wait to catch Lou next.
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Thanks! I wrote about Arthur Lee in the mid-70s, when he was trying to be a completely different person than the psychedelic pioneer who made Forever Changes.
That's so awesome, Corwood! I'll have to pick it up for sure!
Tonight's our cd release show and, as usual, I'm worried nobody will come! Also I can't find any black fishnets. Why didn't I prepare better?! (I do think we'll rock though...and my boyfriend is seeing us for the first time and I'm excited about that!)
Any Mylene Farmer fans on the board? Holy Shit is her latest disc really REALLY awesome.
Seriously? I don't think I've heard anything of hers since "Sans contrefaçon"--which was awesome in that 80s gender-bending way.
For those who are interested, the new Fall Out Boy album has leaked.
So far, I LOVE it. And Brendon singing with Patrick on 20 Dollar Nosebleed is like Christmas coming early.
Dear Patrick Stump: No seriously, I meant that thing about having your babies. We can start right now. Come on over.
Man, I haven't thought about Mylene Farmer in a long time. Anamorphosee was the album I knew.
Are there any space mixes up on brawk? We're having a space-themed hafla this weekend and I was going to dance to Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys, but now I'm severely tempted to dance to "Metamorphosis #1" and then do a drum solo to the drums they play during the BSG sneak peeks. I have the Phillip Glass but not the BSG drums, so I'd love that if anyone has it. Or any of the BSG stuff, really.
edited for clarity

That was the only one I used to have (apart from burned copies of a couple others). I think this one is better. It's called Point de Suture.
A good space mix needs some Sun Ra. And a version of "Interstellar Overdrive". I made one a while back, but never posted it to Brawk.
