Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

“Not dead yet!”

I mean, I knew it had been ruled on... but this is flat out collaboration. Maybe it was part of the settlement?

That's what I wondered, too, Trudy.

Punishingly Intricate

I feel like it should be The Bronx, you know? Then I kind of like it as a name ... for someone else's child.

Art Crawl!!!

Was he born in the Bronx? Conceived in the Bronx?

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Possibly more relevant to Pete Wentz: Is Angels and Kings in the Bronx?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I keep thinking it is a joke. Although I kind of like Mowgli...but Bronx Wentz? And x and a z?

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Well, there's at least one lame joke ready to be made.

"Have you seen Bronx Wentz?"

"Yeah. Bronx Wentz thataway."

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

For the first time ever...a Kinks box set.

I must say the collection of songs on disc 2 represents a pinnacle of pop music that only a handful of musicians or groups could match.

Art Crawl!!!

That Box set looks so good!

The "deluxe" Murmur comes out this tuesday. Also tempting. And much more in my price range.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh my. This is... something.

Bob Cronin, aka dj BC, is best known as the creator of such memorable mash-ups as The Beastles (Beatles vs. Beastie Boys) and Wu Orleans (Wu-Tang Clan vs. New Orleans Jazz). Boston Phoenix magazine declared him Boston's Best Lawbreaker, and his progressive attitude towards copyrights might also be responsible for the fact that his mixes usually disappear from his website after a relatively short time. One of my all-time dj BC favorites is his album Glassbreaks, mashing up Philip Glass with hip-hop. Here it is, for free download, and hopefully for a longer time.

"Funeral of Amenhotep" is one of my favorite Glass tunes....
