"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hey, I see a good dose of Lost in the Grooves in that mix, Cor.

I used to go see Dex & Crow sometimes when I lived in North Carolina, and they never failed to bring the rawk.

Did you ever see the Flat Duo Jets piece on IRS The Cutting Edge? It's great - you get to go down into Dex's "crypt" (actually a shack in his parents backyard where he's been living since he was a teen. Total rock and roll fallout shelter.)

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Leathermouth is opening MSI's east coast shows.

I'm equal parts excited and fearful. (Can you IMAGINE the little shriekystalkies this is going to inspire? Oh. The. Horror.)

That's true, but I think my only LITG pickup on that list is Dead Dog's Eyeball. I'm the target demographic! Speaking of, did I tell you that Brian Beattie played at my Austin book release party? He was backing up another guy, but still.

Did you ever see the Flat Duo Jets piece on IRS The Cutting Edge?

No, but wow.

Cool beans! Shouldn't you be playing at your own book party, though?

"I will now play a 40 minute instrumental version of 'Wall of Death.'"

Ha! Yeah, my band actually did play. One of the guitarists from another band joined us and we traded licks on "The Calvary Cross" for about ten minutes.

Oh, look. Kidrobot has chibi Simpsons figures. Who in this thread would be interested in those?

Don't do it! Every time you're tempted to buy yet more Simpsons memorabilia, go have sex with your beautiful wife instead.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

HAHAHA. I was going to post this in Natter, but now it seems much more appropriate here. mac decided today that he could part with the BOXES for his action figures. Not throw them away mind you, but I could take them to the storage room in the basement. They had been almost completely blocking one of his bedroom windows.
