"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

So I was just interviewed by NPR about the Jonas Brothers.

I should be on All Things Considered on Friday afternoon.

Did you get a plug in for the Waits book?

I tried to slip one in, but we'll see if it survives the editing.

I'm so mad I wasn't able to wrangle tickets for that. My usual source said even if I were actually a VIP she couldn't have gotten them for me. This is the woman who got me the Elvis/Sting VIP passes.

I feel like I would have really appreciated it after Hec's lectures in SF. (Which were pleasant and informative).

I guess this is a good time to note that I'll be leading a Tom Waits bus tour in Los Angeles over Labor Day Weekend.

I'm putting it together with Kim now.

And it coincides with a threeway book reading by me, Kim and Hayden.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

megan - I could send you Cory Branan's "Tall Green Grass", if you like. I also have "That Green Gentleman" from Panic At The Disco.
