"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I'm so mad I wasn't able to wrangle tickets for that. My usual source said even if I were actually a VIP she couldn't have gotten them for me. This is the woman who got me the Elvis/Sting VIP passes.

I feel like I would have really appreciated it after Hec's lectures in SF. (Which were pleasant and informative).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

(Which were pleasant and informative).

I guess this is a good time to note that I'll be leading a Tom Waits bus tour in Los Angeles over Labor Day Weekend.

I'm putting it together with Kim now.

And it coincides with a threeway book reading by me, Kim and Hayden.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

megan - I could send you Cory Branan's "Tall Green Grass", if you like. I also have "That Green Gentleman" from Panic At The Disco.

Either or both of those would be awesome. I don't really want to use the Bonnie Raitt as it is currently in my Stickshifts and Safetybelts mix and I'm trying not to repeat too many from that.

And now you know why I asked for "Grey Ghost"!

In Worlds Collide news, a library blogger I read referred to a Kim Cooper Raymond Chandler tour of LA recently. I assume this is our David's Kim Cooper?
