Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
I need help with a project for Comic Book Boyfriend. He finished my tattoo drawing on Saturday, so as a treat I took him to the Arts Festival yesterday, but that doesn't seem like quite enough. I love the tattoo, and it is such a personal gift, I thought I'd return the favor by putting together a comic book/superhero themed cd. Nothing to obscure or crazy, does anyone have ideas for songs? Being buffistas, I'm assuming you do.
- "Superman" - R.E.M. (which is a cover of a song by The Clique)
- "(Wish I Could Fly Like) Superman" - The Kinks
- "Spider-Man" - The Ramones
DJ, I have 5 versions of the Spider-Man theme (including the TV show theme). t edit And none of them are the Ramones version that Scola linked.
I also have: (1) the Harvey Birdman theme, (2) The Tick theme, (3) R.E.M.'s "Superman," [guess you don't need that one] (4) If you count Schoolhouse Rock's "Interplanet Janet" as a superhero, I have that song, performed by Man or Astroman.
Tell me if you want any or all of them.
(1) the Harvey Birdman theme, (2) The Tick theme
Two of my all-time favorites, along with the Teen Titans theme.
And I have to admit it - the Batman TV show theme.
I can give you the Teen Titans theme if you need it.
I can give you the Teen Titans theme if you need it.
I was mainly just commenting on which super-hero themes I liked, but if you're talking Buffistarawk, I'd love to have that.
Oh, durr. I have the Teen Titans theme, too.
Not that you need it from me.
I just felt like mentioning that I have it.
I don't want to get too tv theme heavy, but I like those.
Also came up with "Invincible"-OkGo this morning on the way to work.
Comic book references are dropped quite often in rap songs, sometimes they're quite geeky and obscure.
