Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Oh, durr. I have the Teen Titans theme, too.

Not that you need it from me.

I just felt like mentioning that I have it.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

I don't want to get too tv theme heavy, but I like those.

Also came up with "Invincible"-OkGo this morning on the way to work.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Comic book references are dropped quite often in rap songs, sometimes they're quite geeky and obscure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I also have the Powerpuff Girls theme, a whole album of Batman songs (including the super groovy "The Riddler" by Frank Gorshin), and lots of songs with Superman refs.

I only have "Magneto and Titanium Man" on vinyl though. I should fix that.

I have most tv themes that you could think of including Wonder Woman.

Um, so which ones did you want? All of them? I don't want to inundate you with songs you don't want.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Bowie - "The Supermen"
Yo La Tengo - "Green Arrow"
The Who's cover of the Batman theme (which is great)
If you're going for hip-hop, go for a MF Doom track, like Viktor Vaughn's "Vaudeville Villain," King Geedorah's "Anti-Matter," or something by Madvillain.

Here's my list so far: Superman-REM, Invincible-OkGo, Comic Book Heroes- The Tearjerkers, Nobody Loves the Hulk-The Traits, Ghost Rider-The Rollins Band, Jimmy Olsen's Blues- Spin Doctors, The Watchmen-3-D Invisibles, Challengers-New Pornographers, Dan Dare-Mekons, I Am Gonna Unmask the Batman-Sun Ra, Magneto and Titanium Man, Matter-Eater Lad-Guided by Voices.

Oooh! Adding those too Steph. I'm also going with some version of the Spiderman theme.

Great list! However:

Ghost Rider-The Rollins Band

I recommend you trade this for the Suicide version.

I haven't heard that one! I'll give it a listen.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Daisy, I'm trying to send Modesty Blaise by the Direct Hits and the Iron and Wine cover of "Waitin' for a Superman."

If my computer will oblige.
