Just finishing up the order of my May Flowers playlist. Of my new songs, I think I most like "Oleander" by Sarah Harmer and "The Flowers She Sent And The Flowers She Said She Sent" by The Magnetic Fields. Also, I'm always surprised by how much I like Hole, but there it is. (Thanks again!)
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Same here. I will eventually break down and purchase some. But I have such problems getting past The Courtney Love Issues.
Who I've seen twice. Probably the only two times he's toured (as opposed to one-off shows) since I became a fan.
Yeah, we've seen Tom Waits once. It was the only time we used a ticket agency (because the tickets sold out two people ahead of where Pete was in line), and it was worth every penny. Third row center seats.
Glad you like the Magnetic Fields song, Megan!
Third row center seats.
Awesome seats! I saw him on the Frank's Wild Years tour, and the Mule Variations tour. I'm sorry I missed the era when he used to tour the country playing barrooms and clubs.
Glad you like the Magnetic Fields song, Megan!
Well, I like a lot of them, but those two stand out. All now available at a buffistarawk near you...
I'm seeing My Chem on Tuesday. And then again on Friday. I am pretty much delerious.
Tuesday at Electric Factory there is a not too high balcony. The bar is on said balcony and you have to be 21 to go up there. I could probably open up a deck chair and umbrealla.
Friday is Madison Square Garden. And I'm on the floor. ::gulp::
Nick Cave is playing the Hollywood Bowl with Spiritualized and Cat Power. I am so there!
I love Hole and I even love craxy Courtney Love (the solo record she put out a couple of years back was really good). Rock!
PC you are missing out, man.
ETA: Not that Cannonball isn't a great song...
There are a lot of bands where I really love one song, and it's all I know, and I'm always afraid to check out more because what if the other songs aren't as good? Wouldn't I have been happier just knowing and loving the one song? I tend to get into artists on a song-by-song basis.
I keep watching Ray Toro guitar solos and getting light headed [link]

Really don't know diddly about Cat Power other than by reputation, but Spiritualized is made of AWESOME! I didn't know a single song of theirs when I saw them (I was there for the opening band), but they totally blew me away.
