Nick Cave is playing the Hollywood Bowl with Spiritualized and Cat Power. I am so there!
I love Hole and I even love craxy Courtney Love (the solo record she put out a couple of years back was really good). Rock!
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

PC you are missing out, man.
ETA: Not that Cannonball isn't a great song...
There are a lot of bands where I really love one song, and it's all I know, and I'm always afraid to check out more because what if the other songs aren't as good? Wouldn't I have been happier just knowing and loving the one song? I tend to get into artists on a song-by-song basis.
I keep watching Ray Toro guitar solos and getting light headed [link]

Really don't know diddly about Cat Power other than by reputation, but Spiritualized is made of AWESOME! I didn't know a single song of theirs when I saw them (I was there for the opening band), but they totally blew me away.

Kind of like when I saw the Dream Syndicate open for U2.
I'm slightly startled this hasn't been mentioned yet, but Roar (from Cloverfield) is up on iTunes, and I just finished listening to it for the first time.
Really, all I can say is, this should really be subtitled "Inspired greatly by Ifukube Akira. And also some more by Akira Ifukube. And some by, uh, that Akira dude."
(Ifukube-sensei, if you don't know, scored the first several Godzilla movies, and composed most of the major themes used throughout the series.)

Note to self: get that teleport/time machine work already.
I'm. So. Envy.
Hm, the closest Nick Cave is coming to Boston is New York. Oh well. I also didn't realize the US leg of the tour would be Nick solo. That would be interesting to see.
Doesn't Cat Power have a new record out now? Or is that forthcoming? I can't remember. I've been dosing on her covers record recently, which I quite like.
The more I listen to Dig Lazaruss Dig (like Panic at the Disco, I feel the punctuation is optional in polite company) the more I really flipping love it.
I love The Doves. That is all.
