Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
What kind of music do they play?
Dirty, punk-influenced Southern rock. So, kinda like Lucero, but more toward the '70s rock side than the alt-country side.
Thank you, Sophia! I must have skipped over that the other day, because of the wrong title.
I almost did, too, Amy!

Well, crap. You know I'd be there if I could.
I'll have to check out that soundtrack - sounds fun.
x-posted to my lj: So... I'm looking for a bandom song to bellydance to. Prefer MCR, FOB is okay, and you'd have to convince me on Panic. It's for a rock-themed bellydance evening, but might make an appearance at the F2F, if I do. *g*
Limit to 4 minutes, but could possibly crop it.
Thoughts, ideas?
smonster: This is none of those bands, but it's rock and has (to me) a belly dancing beat. [link]
DJ - fun song, and v. familiar! Has it been used on a promo or something?
I don't know-maybe in a movie? Their songs are a lot of fun.
"The Nightmare Before Christmas 2-Disc Special Edition Soundtrack" will introduce nine new tracks to the original recording, including new versions of songs re-recorded by Marilyn Manson, Panic! At the Disco, Fall Out Boy, Fiona Apple and She Wants Revenge
Y'know, I *should* like this. It's the sort of thing that should make me squeak with glee. But I just listened to all the linked songs, and had the same reaction as the first time I heard them. In JilliLand, NO ONE covers songs from Nightmare Before Christmas. Yes, I know I am being a cranky unreasonable elitist goth snob. I know.
