Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Um... 'cause I'm really lame about finding out about concerts ahead of time.

Also, I'm in severe budget mode.

But mostly the first thing. If juliana hasn't texted me about it, I probably don't know about it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

If juliana hasn't texted me about it, I probably don't know about it.

Heh. Well Corb Lund is giving the entire West Coast a miss on his swing down through the States this time, so no texty on that. I doubt you'd want to go to Warped (though Gym Class Heroes!!!), so no texty. Maybe Live 105's BFD? Flogging Molly's playing!

I *will* drag you to see Cobra Starship when they come back through. You must see the excellence of the G.A.B.E.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

the indie girls all seemed waif-like and ethereal.

Wow, that's wild. That was not my experience at all on the LA scene and not really representative of females in indie rock either (see Kim Deal mentioned above). GF is like an indie girl goddess (no, really, not just me saying so) and she's the opposite of waif-like and ethereal.

I have no idea what this means, but sure.

megan, let me put it this way: Gabe is not my flavor of band candy, but Cobra Starship is lots of fun.

(Oh crap, now I'm earwormed with "Guilty Pleasure" again. Do I finally cave and get it, or do I attempt to drive it out with the new Motley Crue single? Or do I just revert to type and listen to either The Cure or MCR?)

Get it! It is, after all, a Guilty Pleasure. It says so, right there in the title.

I can send it to you Jilli.

Especially if you explain the whole bandom thing to me in exchange.

Yay!

Especially if you explain the whole bandom thing to me in exchange.

Well remember, I'm not officially part of bandom. I am a frothing MCR fangirl who happens to like Fall Out Boy songs too. But Panic/The Academy Is/all those other bandom bands? I don't get. I need someone to explain them to me, too.
