There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Get it! It is, after all, a Guilty Pleasure. It says so, right there in the title.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

(Oh crap, now I'm earwormed with "Guilty Pleasure" again. Do I finally cave and get it, or do I attempt to drive it out with the new Motley Crue single? Or do I just revert to type and listen to either The Cure or MCR?)

I can send it to you Jilli.

Especially if you explain the whole bandom thing to me in exchange.

Yay!

Especially if you explain the whole bandom thing to me in exchange.

Well remember, I'm not officially part of bandom. I am a frothing MCR fangirl who happens to like Fall Out Boy songs too. But Panic/The Academy Is/all those other bandom bands? I don't get. I need someone to explain them to me, too.

Oh, and Shir?

Jilli, I'm an avid grunge fan (well, I'm young). And I'd really, really, really like to read more about the sexist side of it (you'd think that I'd cover it with my undying admiration and ability to talk about The Afghan Whigs by now...).

Please, tell more? I was always fascinated by the reciprocal relationships of music and society.

I promise I will post more about this, once my brain has surfaced from the decongestant hell it's stuck in.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

But Panic/The Academy Is/all those other bandom bands? I don't get.

SA called them the Fueled By Ramen Boys' Choir at one point, and I damn near killed myself with the giggling. It's funny 'cause it's true!

Ahahahaha! Oh lord, it is true, isn't it?

Either that, or its' the Fueled By Ramen Furry Convention. How many of those bands has P.Wentz made dress up in animal costumes, or interact with other people wearing animal costumes?
