You're nice, and you're funny and you don't smoke, and okay, werewolf, but that's not all the time. I mean, three days out of the month, I'm not much fun to be around, either.

There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.

Punishingly Intricate

I was just looking for song suggestions for a workout mix.

I've been doing this spin class for the last few weeks and the teacher plays great mixes of things I never would have listened to on my own, probably. My favorite is actually a Rihanna song called Pon de Replay .

I guess I was confused b/c it sounded like you didn't want new music. But my brain hasn't exactly been a well-tuned machine this afternoon.

well my hope is that if people have favorite songs on a workout mix, then I would already have them.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I'm not into VU bootlegs really, but apparently this is a big deal. It's the ONLY available live stuff from 1967 and has only become available in literally the last two days. Recorded just after the release of The Velvet Underground And Nico and featuring the debut performance of Sister Ray (19 mins long) and the *previously unheard* song I'm Not A Young Man Any More. That's right, A NEW VELVET UNDERGROUND SONG. And it's fucking good too

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I can barely believe it. For one thing, why did it take me more than two years to write 30,000 words?

Sir, this question ran around my brain for at least a good five months after I turned in my manuscript.

As it turns out, having babies, making a living, doing fun stuff and family responsibilities gets in the way.

Also: Congratulations! Holy shit, you must feel so relieved right now. As for myself, I didn't start feeling happy about it until I had some distance from it and judge the book as a finished project instead of something that was still mutable in my head.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Awesome YouTube video of every song to be in the Billboard number 1 spot on February 29th: [link]

Also, congratulations, Corwood!

Thanks, y'all!

Yeah, David, I hear you. I may not be ready to feel that relief until I'm holding a copy in my hands. But considering how much better the first chapter reads now, I'm glad I took another swing at it.
