I use the Download Helper [link] extension to Firefox to copy and save flash video, but I don't have an app. to convert to .mp3
What did you use for that?
eta: On second glance, looks like there may be a utility on that same site to do the conversion to .mp3. I'll have to try it out....
I used the Freez converter, downloaded from here: [link]
My first review from the Tom Waits Forums:
*******************
"Anyway, back to the book. It was for me like a giant platter of chocolate truffles with different fillings. The detailed dissection, savoury morsels and nougats of truth and lies, myths and facts, clarifications and obfuscations at the same page, in the same sentence created [a] delicious melange, at least for this Tom Waits fan.
And the fadeout of the last chapter was spectacular.
I'm not going to say more, now it's your turn to read it, fans."
Aha! I have another review here.
I was curious to see how Smay would tackle the album and I admit I had doubts if one could pull off an appreciation of such a record and not sound arse-lickey or descend into tiresome Waits cliches ( his voice, his love for blues and so on)but I was amazed. Smay not only gives the reader a whole new angle on Waits but also manages to create the same feel as Swordfish.... within his writing style. Sometimes dark, sometimes freaky, cool and casual. This is the true masterstroke of the book itself.
Wow!
What an excellent review.
Sometimes dark, sometimes freaky, cool and casual.
That could describe Mr. Smay as well.
'Cept he's
mostly
dark....
