GC, color me jealous. I caught on to So Jealous maybe a month before The Con came out and was very happy with both. Let me know how the show goes.
This was about my 5th T&S show. It was at a fairly big venue (Orpheum Theater in downtown LA) and it sold out. Good for them! They are always fun live - cute banter between songs, sound great. I noticed lots of pre-teen girls there with mothers, which I've not noticed before. It's always a young crowd, but not that young! GF and I were like grandmas! Anyway, it was a fun show and we were 4th row center. Woot!
The rest of the Decemberists tour has been cancelled due to illness: [link]
Damn.
I had snagged front row center seats that I was going to raffle off on my fundraising radio show tomorrow morning... [link]
Has this been linked to? Tom Waits on Fernwood Tonight - performing "The Piano Has Been Drinking" and chatting with the hosts afterwards.
I might've linked that before when I was spamming the thread with Waitsian links. Tom also guested on one of Martin Mull's albums.
Cool Thing: Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings were clients of the talent agency I interned at in Chicago.
Watching Rock and Roll Circus - it's... interesting? Parts are fantastic, but I can't help overlaying what I know of everyone's careers - Marianne Faithfull, for example.
Also, the camerawork is fascinating - I love seeing how techniques and style have changed.
Lastly, young Mick is still a sexy bitch.
Yeah, but the Who doing "A Quick One" is the best thing ever.

That's definitely up there.
Jethro Tull was weirdly fascinating, too.
