Funny thing about black and white. You mix it together and you get gray. And it doesn't matter how much white you try and put back in, you're never gonna get anything but gray.

BigDuluth, I'm pretty sure I have the Explosions In The Sky discography, so if there's anything you'd like to hear before you buy, holler.

I'd also like to add that I am so in love with Cobra Starship right now, it is a little bit ridiculous.

Shrift, how is the first album?

You mean "Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever"? I like it. "Greet Death" has some crunchy guitar work, "Have You Passed Through This Night?" has a film-dialogue sample which I think might be the only non-instrumental stuff on any of their albums, and the last song is a 12 minute epic.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Why I love Joe Pernice, Reason #6596: [link]

An excerpt:

"Don't be clumsy. Don't be clumsy. Don't be clumsy," I said, whispering so as not to wake the kid. Then I started singing the Duran Duran tune "Clumsy Like the Wolf" in my head. That's not the funny part. While I emptied the rest of the dishwasher, I could not fathom how Duran Duran had such a huge smash hit with a hook as stupid as clumsy like the wolf. Were wolves known for being unusually clumsy?

The post is about William Gibson. Really.

I wonder if the Chuckie the Skunk he mentions is the Chuckie the Skunk I know? Can there be two?

Two Chuckie the Skunks In Canada? Not likely, I'd say! Chuckie the Moose, maybe.

It is a big country. And yet, everyone seems to be separated by two degrees. I know that the Chuckie I know, knows Joe Pernice's wife.
