The Barry J. Nidorf Juvenile Detention Facility in Sylmar houses 600+ children and teens. The members of the Nidorf Collective, a group of students from the UCLA Information Studies graduate program, have been volunteering at the facility for the past year, bringing books to this underserved population. Hee! Yes! Although your audience will have to be willing to tolerate the Christian framework that's given in the website. Although of course our target market is the church, we do have several non-Christian donors who believe in the value of music education and building relationships with these neato Navajo and Apache youth, and are nonetheless passionate about our work.
