I am coveting the Hello Kitty angel tattoo...
I know! Cute! I assume it's Killer Kitten's, the girl who took the pictures, but I don't know. That's the fun thing about giving someone free reign with your camera!
Some of the funniest song titles (and lyrics) IMO were written by my friend Mark of the DeRita Sisters. There's I'll Be Fucking and the classic Stop Me Before I Fuck Again.
We have a plan to rework some of our songs to be dirty so we can have a Secret Crush Society After Dark set! We work pretty blue in real life but on stage it's all songs about dogs and babies (well, and broken hearts and local characters).
thank you, very nice lady! I so needed to hear that today.
I didn't realize. Hey! I knew this already, but you're supercute!
Thaks for the link, Bobbi my fellow Squeeze fan! The concert was fabulous, despite the chronically late Angelenos causing Fountains of Wayne to play to a pretty empty house "Many opening acts seeing only 30% of the seats filled would only give 30%", Adam Schlesinger said, "I want to point out that we gave you 70%" Very funny.
Squeeze was great--they were very tight and managed all the odd and wonderful rhythmic shifts of those songs beautifully. Glenn's voice is amazing and he and Chris seemed to be having so much fun up there. I almost got tears in my eyes when the whole theatre stood and sang "Pulling Mussels from a Shell" along with the band.
Robin, have you seen Glenn when he tours solo acoustic and plays coffeehouses? The last time I'd seen him, he played Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA. It holds a little over 100 people. Also, have you seen the DVD, Glenn Tilbrook--One for the Road? It's a documentary of Glenn's cross-country solo acoustic tour in an RV. Much fun.
I haven't, but we heard him talking about the trip on the radio and I would REALLY love to see it. Thanks for reminding me!

That Suzi Quatro sure plays a mean guitar.
No, I will never get tired of that joke.
That Suzi Quatro sure plays a mean guitar.
I never noticed how much Rick Derringer looks like Suzi Quatro before. He's even her (tiny) height.
If I'm not mistaken that's dapper Dan Hartman on funky bass. He would go on to have some solo hits during the disco era.
Oh! Fiona, thanks for the Gomez recs. And I'd love to hear rarer stuff.
