Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Thanks, y'all!
Ahhh, we love Guardian Unlimited. Review of a recent show at the Tate inspired by Brian Wilson.
Also a funny, cheeky review of the new Marilyn Manson.
MUTILATION IS THE MOST SINCERE FORM OF FLATTERY
0.01 Goodness, is it? Who knew!
It sounds like Guns N' Roses fronted by old man Steptoe.
This made me laugh, both in and of itself, and because it also made me imagine Redd Foxx singing the Marilyn Manson songbook.
Oh Hec & Corwood, I had a guy at Atomic (my friends' bookstore where I work on the weekend) buying a bunch of 33 1/3 books at once. He'd just heard about their existence from a friend. And I totally pimped your books to him, "If you enjoy those, just wait for these upcoming titles!" hee
sadly I'm giving up my Sat. job so I don't think I'll actually be selling your books to the people.
Lisah = rock.
Lisah = rock.
She does! I think I owe her more oysters.
I just discovered they have a Girl Groups Night at the Casanova bar in the Mission. Person with the biggest bouffant wins a free oven mitt.
I can't believe I've missed it until now!
Just got tickets to see the reunited Crowded House in August. I have been a fan since forever and have never seen them play. Neil Finn--Woo Hoo!
Argh! Ted Leo is coming to town in August and playing at the stupidest club here.
Same here. He was supposed to play in a great place here this summer, but that part of the tour got cancelled. And that's how I found out about it, with the cancelled notice. Never in my life have joy turn into devastation that quickly.
So, this morning, as I'm working in the theater, we're listening to Jack FM -- one of those automated stations without DJs, that will play anything....
First thing when we turn it on this morning, they play Ozzy's Crazy Train, immediately followed by an XTC song.
Never in a million years would I have imagined putting those two songs together.
