Almost forgot to mention: I read your LA write-up last night, Jon. Sounds like a great time! I'm looking forward to your commercial.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
Do you write terrible pathetic poetry?
My favorites were "Do you wear sweaters?" and "Do you drink coffee?" with the follow up of "With cream and sugar or black?" I am sure there are extra points if you coffee is as black as your soul. And your jeans.
I read your LA write-up last night, Jon.
I did, too. I was happy to see that the ad people treated you well.
I have a Quintron and Miss Pussycat CD
I saw them open for the Jon Spencer Blues Explosion years ago. I didn't get it then and don't now - they just aren't my thing. It's good they've made a living at it though.
I\'m looking forward to your commercial.
As am I. I barely have any sense as to what it will sound or look like. It\'s all about the editing...
Thanks.
So in the eyes of paranoid parents and sensationalistic media, is emo worse than goth?
I think I just suffered an overdose of irony.
I think I just suffered an overdose of irony.
If you roll your eyes too hard they might get stuck in the back of your sockets.
And that would be emo as fuck!
And that would be emo as fuck!
However, I think the look would be more goth.
And that would be emo as fuck!
How many points is that?
One sensitivillion.
Because I am a jaded ElderGoth, I can't help but think that emo is just a re-naming of a certain subspecies of babygoths. I mean, heaven knows I can't tell babygoths from emokids most of the time; I just look at them and go "Awwww! Sullen little munchkins! C'mere pumpkin, let me fix your eyeliner."
