This month, hell, this week I've finally stopped being bothered by the sometimes dodgy (in my mind that is, not a big fan of the echoy tin shed aesthetics of the 80ies) production values in the Mekons. I'm hooked.
Buffista Music III: The Search for Bach
There's a lady plays her fav'rite records/On the jukebox ev'ry day/All day long she plays the same old songs/And she believes the things that they say/She sings along with all the saddest songs/And she believes the stories are real/She lets the music dictate the way that she feels.
The Police are going on tour.
They have no dates scheduled in Los Angeles yet.
The information I have dug up online leads me to believe that single crappy seat tickets will be about $250-300.
I'm having difficulty telling what the best site online to buy tickets for this, and that I will be able to afford to go.
These things are all making me very broken.
They're going to be in Vegas and some places there might be $50.00 seats.
The Entire staff of VH-1 Classics got canned
Huh. That's the only music channel I watch.
I already saw the Po-lice in 1982 or 83 on the Ghost in the Machine Tour.
The Go-Gos opened.
I've never seen them, and it makes me sad.
Me too, Hec.
Me too, Hec.
::high fives roller-skatin' Robin::
Incidentally, I never think of you as "one of the guys."
I think of you as a sexy, earthy Ava Gardner / Sophia Loren type.
Thanks, Hec, you doll.
