Heh, I was just about to mention that Nick Cave probably had a few songs that would qualify, but he's definitely in the "Storytellers" category, one I approve of wholeheartedly. Though Cash was capable of doing fun stuff like "I've Been Everywhere" and "Mean-eyed Cat".
Is Cash's "Mercy Seat" on one of the Rick Rubin albums?
