Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

OK, can someone find me a copy of the Urban Guerrillas album "Attack of the Pink Heat-Seeking Moisture Missles"? They were a Mpls band from the mid-'80s. I thought they were on Twin/Tone but I don't see them mentioned on the Twin/Tone site.

I'd look some more myself but I have, like, work I should do. And I tried once a few years ago to find this but failed.

Art Crawl!!!

What is Bill Million up to nowadays?

One of my favorite things about seeing the Feelies live (the one time I got to see them) was the way after each song they'd immediately stoop down and tune their guitars.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

What is Bill Million up to nowadays?

He's a locksmith at Disneyland.

Punishingly Intricate

The Feelies at the Paradise in Boston (I don't remember what year, somewhere in '86-90) in my Top 5 Best Rock Shows Ever.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

lisah, it might possibly be too folky, but John Gorka has a song called "Prom Night In Pigtown" that is simultaneously ridiculous and heartbreaking. It might make a good "send the last party stragglers drifting off just as dawn breaks" song.

Huh. That's about as odd a career change for rock musician as tugboat captain or maybe professor of English.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Btw, there are some good Feelies performances on YouTube.

That sounds great, actually! I wonder if it's about the Pigtown that is a B'more neighborhood?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

The Feelies at the Paradise in Boston (I don\'t remember what year, somewhere in \'86-90) in my Top 5 Best Rock Shows Ever.

Hey! I was probably there! You should have looked for me.

I can\'t grab the \"dancing barefoot\" cover at work either, but I have it on some 12\" single. It is awesome. Although Brenda sings lead, Glenn Mercer does the spoken word part near the end that gives me chills.

I just remembered something. Their booking agent once told me that their real names were not Bill and Glenn. They were, in fact, Glenn and Bill. He was very insistant about this.

Btw, I expect this is obvious but I\'ve only started doing this recently. Doing the blog search on Google is the fastest way I\'ve found for nabbing obscure music tracks.

You know about the hype-machine, right? [link] There are other music blog aggregators, but I can\'t remember the urls right now.

t on edit another aggregator: [link]
